Third Wheel Brewing COVID-19 Impact

You have likely heard that all restaurants and bars will no longer be able to have dining/drinking inside their establishments during this outbreak of COVID-19.  This impacts Third Wheel Brewing and The Window at Third Wheel.  Starting today, Wednesday, March 18, we will limit the number of people inside the building to no more than 50.  The same applies for Thursday, March 19.  Beginning Friday, March 20, we will only allow carry-out food and to-go cans/crowler sales.  We will not fill outside containers.  There will be no on-site consumption.  As of March 25, no cash transactions. Online ordering and curbside pickup only.

Beginning Friday, March 20, you will be able to go online and order + pay for beer to-go at www.thirdwheelbrewing.com/shop.  We will run your order out to your car.

  • Sunday, 3/29: Noon - 4:00 pm

  • Wednesday, 4/1: 4:00 -7:00 pm

  • ·Thursday, 4/2:  4:00 – 7:00 pm 

  • Friday, 4/3:  Noon – 8:00 pm 

  • Saturday, 4/4: Noon - 7:00 pm

It is our intention to not lay off any TWB employees, though many will have their hours reduced.  You can further help by tipping when you purchase to-go beer.  We’ve also set up a Virtual Tip Jar in our online store – 100% of these proceeds will go directly to the bar staff.  We are offering e-gift certificates for sale at www.thirdwheelbrewing.com/shop.

These are unprecedented times.  We are certain there will be kinks in our plans, and we may even drop the ball on service to our guests.  Please exercise patience with us.  This is a first for all of us.  We gratefully look forward to your continued support during this crisis.

Q: Where can I buy your beer?

A: Of course you can come to our tap room where we always have something new on tap. Also, as of September 2019, you can find is in select bars and restaurants in Columbia, MO. If you don't see us on tap ask for Third Wheel to be carried. 

 

Q: Can I take your beer home with me?

A: Hell yeah! We have a selection of cans available to go. We also have 64oz growlers for sale (or BYO growler) and we now have Crowlers. A Crowler is a 32oz aluminum can that we can fill with your favorite brew from Third Wheel. Crowlers stay fresher longer so they're good for traveling, floating, camping, you name it. Then when you're finished drinking it you put it right in the recycling so it can be reincarnated in to more cans. 

 

Q: Can I bring my kids?

A: Sure, but just keep in mind that we are a brewery focused on serving adult beverages to adults who may sometimes use adult language. No one under 21 is allowed after 8pm. 

Q: Do you allow smoking.

A: Nope. Smoking, including vaping, can interfere with the enjoyment of beer so neither are allowed in our building.

 

Q: Do you take reservations?

A: We are casual. Really casual, so reservations are not necessary. We can usually accommodate any size group at any time. If your group is larger than 8 people we do like to have a heads up so we can plenty of staff to serve you. Just send us an email to let us know the date, time, and size of your group.

Q; Can I bring a cake or decorations?

A: Yes, but you may have to share a piece with the Beer Stooges. Please bring plates, forks, and napkins or there is a $3 per person cake fee. 

 

Q: Can you donate beer for my event?

A: Sorry but no. The Man prevents us from directly donating beer. We do like to give back to our community so we frequently donate gift cards and merchandise to various organizations. If you would like to request a donation please send your request at least 30 days in advance. Be sure to include the date of your event, event description, and number of attendees. Donations must be picked up at the brewery during our open hours. We do not mail donations.

Q: You guys are awesome! Can I come work for you?

A: I'm not going to lie, we tend to be pretty picky when comes to members of our team. If you want to be a Stooge then you have to demonstrate a passion for beer and be able to share that passion with someone who has never hoisted a craft beer as well as someone who has over 2500 Untappd check-ins, plus be fun, happy, and smart. We also require all of our Stooges to be Cicerone Certified Beer Servers or be able to pass the test within 60 days of hire. If this sounds like you then send us your resume. Yep, we want a resume.

Q: What's your phone number?

A: We have one but no one bothered to write it down so we don't know. Look, it's 2019 so everything you need to know is on this site or our Facebook page. If you still need to reach us then you can email us or hit us up on social media. 

Q: I've got this really awesome product/service/widget that will really make your life easier. Can I call you or stop by to talk about it?

A: Hey, everyone has to make a living, right? We make ours focusing on our customers so we never take sales calls during our open hours. 

Q: I'm in a band and we would like to play at the brewery. When can we play?

A: Currently we are not accepting or seeking any additional music acts. We are booked for all of 2020 and have hundreds of applications on file.
